The conference's objectives were to facilitate knowledge exchange and networking among participating African Green Store Network (AGSN) countries. Additionally, the workshop explored the opportunities and challenges presented by small-scale, climate-friendly, water- and energy-efficient solar irrigation system technology on the continent and globally. The conference further foster collaboration and allow stakeholders to explore available opportunities. The conference presented the sustainable and energy efficient solution to one of agriculture's greater challenges- water management. Time saving, energy efficient and resources maximizing SPIS innovation will address smallholder farmers' productivity challenges, promote food security, and contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals.
